Keeping Heritage Close to Home
Since 1930, Damascus Bakeries has been baking delicious flatbreads in the heart of Brooklyn. With a story that is rich with family history, it was vital, that when approaching the rebranding of the company, we kept their legacy at the forefront.

Package Redesign
Damascus Pitas are sold nationwide at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and many other household retailers. Being the US’ first packaged pitas, they have a loyal and established customer base.
We undertook the challenge of rebranding a package that rang true to its heritage (old world baking with authentic recipes), its origins (Brooklyn and Brooklyn in the 1930’s way before it was a “thing” to be from Brooklyn) and casting it in a modern context without alienating its existing, loyal customers.

Website Redesign and Build
Along with the new brand identity, we also had the pleasure of designing and building a new website for Damascus – a platform to narrate their story, their connection to their neighbors and the baker sensibilities they still bring even as they grow larger.
